Advisory service related to contaminated areas for recipients of government grants
The Finnish Supervisory Agency may, at the request of an applicant, provide a paid advisory service that may be related to, for example, the planning, procurement or implementation of an individual project. The advisory service is primarily provided to a recipient of a government grant, not, for example, to a consultant or contractor responsible for implementation of a project.
A paid advisory service differs from the advice referred to in the Administrative Procedure Act and the guidance and advice referred to in the Act on Support for Remediation of Contaminated Areas (PIMA Support Act), which are related to, for example, the government grant procedure and general application of the PIMA Support Act. The differences between the advisory service and free advice are described in more detail in the guide on discretionary government transfers.
The advisory service provided by the Finnish Supervisory Agency may not conflict with official duties, and a government grant may not be awarded to pay for it. The service is priced on a commercial basis.
Advisory services related to contaminated areas are also provided by many private opeators.
