This accessibility statement describes how the web service maaperakuntoon.fi complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019), what accessibility shortcomings exist in the service, and how you can provide feedback on accessibility issues.

This service is provided by the Finnish Supervisory Agency. Our aim is that as many users as possible can use our digital services. We take accessibility into account in the development of our digital services.

This web service partially meets the accessibility requirements of levels A and AA in accordance with WCAG 2.2. There are accessibility shortcomings that are described in more detail below.

Use with a screen reader

  • The search function in the main navigation is located within the language selector landmark. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Main navigation on mobile or desktop when zoomed: The first element in the menu is an unnamed interactive element that does not perform any action when activated. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Front page: A mobile screen reader reads the main content in a different order than the visual presentation. (WCAG 1.3.2)
  • Front page: Heading levels do not reflect the semantic structure of the page. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Front page: The heading “KAJAK project” is missing a programmatic heading markup. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • There are images in the service that lack sufficient alternative text. (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • In event listings, the date is not read together with the event name. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • The screen reader reads code at the end of multiple link texts. (WCAG 2.4.6)
  • There are empty line breaks that the screen reader announces as “blank”. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • The section “In collaboration with” is read after the footer even though it is visually placed above it. (WCAG 1.3.2)
  • Links in the footer lack a list structure. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Search page: The screen reader reads code in connection with the search field. (WCAG 2.4.6)
  • Search page: Headings visible only to assistive technologies are not programmatically marked as headings. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Search page: The button “Reverse Sort Direction” incorrectly has a link role. (WCAG 1.3.1)

  • Main navigation (mobile): At 200% zoom, content is clipped in portrait orientation. (WCAG 1.4.4)
  • Headings in mobile view may be cut off outside the screen. (WCAG 1.4.10)
